I’ve been part of the Asbury community since 1979, when a good friend invited me to join her at Jeffrey’s Grove School one Sunday morning. Over the years, I’ve served in a number of volunteer capacities – all related to learning and spiritual growth in some fashion. For the past 4 years, it’s been my great delight to help enhance the Sunday morning worship hours through what you see on the big screens each week. I believe that learning and worship are both very visual experiences, and that’s what fuels my work.
My family moved to Raleigh just as I was beginning high school. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with my aim set on teaching high school. Life didn’t quite pan out that way, so being able to teach in various ways through ministry is really special.
On the home front, my ferocious little Dachshund (Maxwell Smart) and I live near the church and enjoy walking the greenway trails, often with a camera in my hand.
I’d love to hear from you if you have ideas about Sunday morning visuals, or might be interested in participating!
