I’m so excited to meet you if only virtually! I’m a North Carolina girl – born in Charlotte and raised in Gastonia. I came to Raleigh in 1996 and graduated from N.C. State University. I met my husband, Edmon, at NCSU and we decided to make Raleigh our home together. After graduating, I taught science at Broughton High School before joining the staff at the N.C. Center for Nonprofits. During my 17 years at the Center, I helped nonprofits across the state in the areas of HR, finance, communications and technology.
Edmon, Hunter (our son), and I have attended Asbury since 2009. We knew we’d found our new church home almost instantly because we left that Sunday with memories that we still treasure today. It wasn’t long before we began volunteering with KidStuf and helping with family ministry. Call me crazy, but there’s something awesome about helping kids get to know their Heavenly Father through Bible stories, drama and small groups!
I joined the Asbury staff as Business Administrator in May of 2016 and was eager to use my experiences and knowledge to help my church and community. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m so glad I responded to God’s call and trusted Him through it. Now, I can’t imagine working anywhere else.
I’d love to connect and answer any questions you may have. I hope to see you on Sunday!
