Wait! I’m not ready yet!! If you have kids, you’ve heard this refrain with your car keys jingling and your nerves on edge. I remember simpler days when we’d count down from some really high number like 10 or 20 and yell “Ready or Not, Here I Come!” Don’t you wish you could go back to when you were 10 or 12 and play hide and seek again? The worst thing that could happen then if you weren’t ready is that you’d get tagged “it” and you’d have to try to catch someone else who wasn’t quite ready. Life isn’t kind to us when we are unprepared, especially once we’ve left the playground for the work place. How ready are you? This week we are looking at a story Jesus told in Matthew 25:1-13 about people waiting. It turned out some of them were ready and some were not. The story doesn’t end well for those unprepared. This week we’ll explore together how we may be prepared for things that really matter. Be sure to invite friends and acquaintances to come with you…they’ll be glad you did!
