Community Garden

Community Garden

Gardeners enjoy a long growing season in full sun plots, experience community with fellow enthusiasts, and, more importantly, donate at least 50% of their harvest to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle (primarily), North Raleigh Ministries, Christian Life Home, Prison Aftercare Christian Ministries, and individuals/families in need.

The garden began in 2011 and has continue to thrive since.  More than fifty people are involved with the garden and have donated in excess of 7,500 pounds of vegetables to charities. The garden is harvested twice weekly by people leasing garden plots. Gardeners take joy in knowing that hungry families are enjoying fresh vegetables.

Asbury Community Garden – 2019 Enrollment is NOW OPEN!

Returning gardeners are given priority if registered by Dec. 31.

Beginning Jan. 1, those who consider Asbury as their church home will have priority for open plots. Starting Jan. 8, plots will be assigned based on the registration date regardless of Asbury affiliation.  Half plots are $25/yr and full plots are $50/yr. Gardeners are required to sign contract agreeing to the terms in the contract and donate 50% or more of their garden harvest.
