You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.MAtthew 5:14-16, NRSV
Inspired by the words of Jesus, calling us to share the light of Christ to the world – Asbury is asking you to join in to make signs of hope and peace for your neighbors! We know that many people are taking more neighborhood walks as ways to get out of the house and still practice social distancing – so, why not provide them with something positive as they pass by?
These signs don’t have to be scripture – they could be funny jokes, pictures, or inspirational sayings to help bring that joy back in the midst of the unknown.
If you choose to participate – Share your pictures with us on Facebook or by e-mail! We’d love to see!
