Sermon Series

Does it ever seem like every couple around you has it all together, while you can’t even agree on what’s for dinner?  Wanna know the secret? Come on out every Sunday in February as we talk through the sermon series “What Happy Couples Know.”

Sunday, Feb 9th Q & A is cancelled this week as Pastor Tom, Jen Swindell and other members and friends are traveling in the Holy Land! Please join us in praying for a safe and enriching experience as they are abroad.

Join us this week for the Second Sunday Hymn Sing held between services in the South Sanctuary. This month we will be singing:

Pastoral Care

Asbury JOY Group will meet on Thursday, Feb 20 at 11:00 AM. Entertainment provided by “Ambassadors of Christmas Cheer.” Lunch, provided by Dickies, will be beef brisket, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and rolls. Plus red velvet cake for dessert! Women of Faith: Applying Biblical Principles as We Face Everyday Challenges

Thursdays from Jan 9 – Mar 5,
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM, Asbury North Room 301.

LifeGroups are made up of 8-12 people meeting, often in homes, to form friendships, talk about faith and the Bible, have social times and do service projects. People are at different stages of life and faith-creating diverse and relaxed environments. Click here to learn more.


Nursery – 5th Grade

LiveIt! is our Sunday environment for K-5th grade from 9:30 -10:30 AM. It is a small group experience with a large group component where a host and storyteller make the Bible come alive and help children apply biblical principles to everyday life. Click here to learn more or contact Crista McKenzie.  


Middle School – High School

Family Promise March 1 – 7

Once again in 2020 Asbury continues its tradition of opening its doors to homeless families four times a year through Family Promise of Wake County. We need volunteers in a variety of areas. See asburyraleigh.org for more information.

Welcome, Jenifer Swindell, Director of Communications & LifeGroups!

We’re excited for Jenifer to join our staff on Feb 3.  As a Deacon, Jen brings more than ten years of experience utilizing relationships, experiential learning and technology to bring the Gospel to everyday life. Jenifer is looking forward to connecting with Asbury, especially our LifeGroups. There will be a special called Charge Conference on Feb 17 at 6:30 pm to approve her status with Asbury

Asbury Preschool Registration Is Open

Have littles that you want to learn about God and be prepared for Kindergarten? The Asbury Preschool expertly combines learning and structured play for students ages 16 months to 5 years old in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.

Our preschool operates Monday-Friday and is a caring place where your child will thrive as they develop socially, spiritually, physically, and in academic readiness in a developmentally appropriate environment. Our Preschoolers also attend a Chapel Service, which offers a FUN environment for them to learn about God on their level.

Confirmation Classes Begin Feb 9, 4:00 PM

If you missed the Confirmation Class Interest Meeting, but don’t want your child to miss out on this life-changing experience, just contact Michelle Keown. Classes are open to youth grades 5 and up. Classes begin Feb 9 and go through May 3. The following Sunday, May 10 is Membership & Baptism Sunday.

Parent Chat – Feb 9, 6:00 PM

Join us for a facilitated discussion led by Michelle Keown with parents of students on the issues that impact our youth and the family today. The topic for this session is “Tech and Your Family.” Asbury South Room 100.

Registration Opens for Beach Trip – Feb 9

Asbury Middle and High School students can begin signing up for a weekend at the beach in Salter Path, NC held April 17-19. Please see Andy or Michelle for additional information.
