Creating Community

LifeGroups are made up of 8-12 people meeting, often in homes, to form friendships, talk about faith and the Bible, have social times and do service projects. People are at different stages of life and faith-creating diverse and relaxed environments. Click here to learn more or contact Jeff Severt.

Asbury Kid’s Ministry

LiveIt! is our Sunday environment for K-5th grade from 9:30-10:30am. It is a small group experience with a large group component where a host and storyteller make the Bible come alive and help children apply biblical principles to everyday life. Click here to learn more or contact Crista McKenzie.

Asbury Student Ministry

A fun, exciting place to do life together for our tweens and teens! Large group worship, small study groups, service projects, and retreats. Life change, deep friendships, and spiritual formation happen at 412 and DASH. Click here to learn more or contact Andy Mannes.

Seeking Volunteers for Backpack Buddies – THIS SATURDAY @ 10 AM
We will be packaging bags for backpacks for children at Lynn Road Elementary School as part of the backpack buddies program. Meet us in the North Building on March 23rd. This is a GREAT service project for families! (Children 4 years and older are welcome.)

In addition to the weekly Back Pack Buddies food bags students receive, we also supply “Holiday” or “Vacation” bags for the students. For this school year, there are only two more opportunities to help with the “Holiday/Vacation” food bags—before Spring Break and at the end of the school year. We are looking for donations in this ministry. If you or your LifeGroup would be willing to help with one or both dates, we would appreciate it and would love to hear from you as soon as possible. The food bags for Spring Break would need to be at church by Sunday, April 7th. Please contact Verna or Georjeanne for more information.

Family Sunday, March 31
Bring the kiddos for our Family Service on Sunday, March 31. You will enjoy a priceless opportunity to worship with your kids in the North Building. We will have a special message brought to us by Crista McKenzie, our Kids Ministry Director. There will be no elementary programming that day, but the nursery and preschool will still be available.

Asbury Preschool Spring Carnival—April 6 @ 10 AM
Join our Asbury Preschool for their 2019 Spring Carnival! The carnival is free and open to the public. There will be bounce houses, a food truck, FRESH ice cream, free face painting, emergency vehicles, music, games and more! Invite your friends and neighbors and join us for some fun! Special thanks to all the sponsors who are helping us make this a successful event!

Palm Sunday Parade – 11:00 AM April 14
Children and families are invited to be in our Palm Sunday Parade at the beginning of Traditional Worship on April 14. We need an excited crowd to wave palm branches and shout HOSANNA while walking into and around the sanctuary during our opening music. You will be done by 11:10 and are welcome to stay for worship or to return to your regular Sunday schedule. Please email Eric Grush and let him know how many people in your crew! Also, please share ideas for an activity for children from 10:30-11:00.
