combined serviceThank You for Volunteering at our Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event!

We did it! Approximately 180 volunteers helped Rise Against Hunger package 59,832 meals for children and families around the world, and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you for volunteering your valuable time with us.

From sustainable community development projects to nourishing lives through nutritious meals, Rise Against Hunger strives to build resilience and self-sufficiency in the communities where we work. Your time and support are key to achieving this mission.

On May 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM (immediately following our combined service at 10:00 AM), we will host the second half of this initiative to reach our one million meal mark! We will be doing the same exact thing right here at Asbury Church! If you are inspired by this movement to fight world hunger and want to participate, plan to join us in May for this awesome opportunity!

Scouting – Venturing Crew Coming to Asbury

We are excited to announce the formation of a Venturing Crew at Asbury.  Venturing is a co-ed Scouting program for youth 14-20 that focuses on Adventure, Leadership, Personal Growth and Service.  Female and Male Venturing Scouts will have the opportunity to camp, participate in high adventure activities like whitewater rafting and experience personal growth through leadership development and public service. In order to make this crew a reality, we need leaders.  Specifically, we need adult females (21+) that are interested in engaging with youth in both indoor and outdoor settings. Meetings are expected to be twice a month on Tuesday nights, and we anticipate 3-4 outings a year. Please contact Edmon Jones at nejones3@hotmail.com if you are interested in being a Venturing Leader.
