Weekly Update – August 20, 2017

THIS SUNDAY @ ASBURY
Sermon Preview: “Beware of Blind Guides”
Matthew 15:10-20
Tom Newman, Lead Pastor

I get up in the night and I turn on a light. I’ve tried it in the dark and I usually find a solid object with which my tender toe is no match. No one would choose to stumble in the dark on purpose. It isn’t safe. It hurts. Yet, many people are living their lives groping in the darkness, following blind guides who themselves are stumbling into dangerous directions. Who are your guides? Who is looking to you to set a safe course in life? Jesus talked about this in Matthew 15:10-20. Worship this week and we’ll look for a light switch in the darkness instead of groping and stumbling or following others who can’t seem to find the switch either. God has a clear path for your life and we’ll seek together to find light and life. There’ll be music and prayers, an uplifting message and a seat for you. Be sure to invite someone to come with you, they’ll be glad you did!
