“Invited” Sermon Series

Over the next few weeks we will be looking at key Bible characters and how God chose to invite them into God’s story of salvation for all of us.  These characters were people just like us with imperfections and obstacles in their past.  Yet God purposely chose them and used them…and if God can use them, then God can use you and me too!  Join us as we take a look at how God used ordinary people to do extraordinary things and consider how God is right now giving the same invitation to you and me!

We are continuing our Q & A sessions each Sunday at 5:00 PM in the South Sanctuary! Come and enjoy chatting about this Sunday’s sermon in a safe and informal session with Pastor Tom!

Creating Community

LifeGroups are made up of 8-12 people meeting, often in homes, to form friendships, talk about faith and the Bible, have social times and do service projects. People are at different stages of life and faith-creating diverse and relaxed environments. Click here to learn more.

Asbury Kid’s Ministry

LiveIt! is our Sunday environment for K-5th grade from 9:30-10:30am. It is a small group experience with a large group component where a host and storyteller make the Bible come alive and help children apply biblical principles to everyday life. Click here to learn more or contact Crista McKenzie.

Asbury Student Ministry

A fun, exciting place to do life together for our tweens and teens! Large group worship, small study groups, service projects, and retreats. Life change, deep friendships, and spiritual formation happen at 412 and DASH. Click here to learn more or contact Andy Mannes.

We are seeking a possible host for a ministry intern from the UK (Pippa) who will be with us October 14 – November 13 (approximately).  The ideal host would need to be comfortable providing lodging for a 23 year old female who is largely independent and self sufficient.  Meals are not expected but some may be appreciated.  She would need a private room and a bathroom (not shared with others in the house) and freedom to come and go during reasonable hours.  For more information, people could contact Pastor Tom Newman.

Help celebrate HHH and all the good work they continue to do in Haiti on Oct 5 at 7pm at St. Mark’s UMC. This is not a fundraising event, but a celebration!  There will be worship, video of the kids telling their stories, Haitian leaders sharing their hopes and dreams, and a live performance by the Haitian men’s quartet.  Asbury’s very own Kayla Klofenstine will also share that evening.  Then plan to join us Sunday, Oct 6 as Pastor Olius from Sous Raille, Haiti, shares a special message at Asbury.  The Haitian men’s quartet will sing.

Be sure to sign up in church on Sundays or sign up online during the week at bit.ly/asburyphotos. Everybody gets one FREE 8×10, one printed book, and access to the mobile directory when you participate (no purchase required).

We’re looking for a full-time Communications Specialist and a full-time Director of LifeGroups & Service. Please help us spread the word as we begin our search for qualified applicants. To view the job descriptions and download an application, please visit our

Falleluia is an awesome family event and is coming October 27, 3-5 pm! Admission is FREE! Costumes are welcome! Food, games and horse-drawn hayrides! Join us and bring all your friends too!
