Greeters, Snack Donors, and Coffee Volunteers are Needed for 2018
Are you looking for ways to serve at Asbury on an ongoing basis? We are looking for you! Volunteer at least once a month and help us continue to make Sunday mornings a great experience for all! Call Alicia at the church office or send her an email for details!
Apostle’s Build is Seeking Volunteers for December 9th!
Asbury Elves! Come help decorate our church for Advent season. Coffee and doughnuts provided! No experience necessary, just a willingness to help and follow directions.
Lynn Road Elementary Coat Drive
Please join us in providing coats for children at Lynn Road. There will be a tree in the lobby with tags on it starting this Sunday. Please make sure to sign out the tag that you take so that we know who has them all. They should be returned to the church in a gift bag with the TAG ATTACHED to it by Dec 10th.
Thank you as always for helping us to continue our mission of providing for kids in need within our own community.
NEWS AND NOTES
Christmas Is Not Your Birthday (CINYB) is launching November 26! Are you ready to show radical love this holiday season?
Every week, someone within our church administration (and maybe within our community) will share life nuggets with us and be a source of knowledge and inspiration through their stories! Be sure to check them out every week on our Church Blog. This week, our Director of Groups and Service, Sharon Hensley, shares an update on what is going on in Haiti. As we prepare for CINYB, this will surely put our hearts and minds in the right perspective this holiday season. Read it here!
“We gather to tell the story of Emmanuel, God with us! We gather to remember this story, to wait, and watch for Him to come again – even now. Come, Lord Jesus!” This December, the Asbury Celebration Choir presents “Sing Joy to All the World,” a Christmas cantata with orchestration and narration. It celebrates the promise that joy comes to those who wait; that following the long dark night, the breaking of dawn brings joy for the new day. Incorporating new melodies with familiar carols in a work that ranges from contemplative to celebratory, you will not want to miss this moving musical celebration. Join us in Asbury North’s Worship Center on Saturday, December 9 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday, December 10 at 10:00 AM (a combined service).
Thank you for faithfully supporting the ministries and staff of Asbury. Your church leaders would like to recognize our staff, who live out our mission every day. To contribute, use “Staff Gift” in the memo of your check and place in the offering plate or give online by clicking here. We also hope you will consider sending a note of appreciation to our staff. Thank you!
