Christmas Is Not Your Birthday (CINYB) is here! Are you ready to show radical love this holiday season?

Over the past five years, our congregation has been approaching Christmas differently. We were challenged to include Jesus in our gift giving by giving as much to our outreach in Haiti as we spend on our family at Christmas. We lovingly call this initiative “Christmas Is Not Your Birthday” (CINYB) and the response has been overwhelming! Two years ago, CINYB expanded to include Backpack Buddies at Lynn Road Elementary School and we have been able to bless so many students with food over every weekend. We are ready to see what God has in store for us this year! Check out the brochure that will be distributed with your bulletin this Sunday and learn how you can join us in showing radical love! Also, gift cards will be available at the information desks and now you can Text 2 Give at your convenience – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

cantataMark Your Calendars – Christmas Cantata is Coming

“We gather to tell the story of Emmanuel, God with us! We gather to remember this story, to wait, and watch for Him to come again – even now. Come, Lord Jesus!” This December, the Asbury Celebration Choir presents “Sing Joy to All the World,” a Christmas cantata with orchestration and narration. It celebrates the promise that joy comes to those who wait; that following the long dark night, the breaking of dawn brings joy for the new day. Incorporating new melodies with familiar carols in a work that ranges from contemplative to celebratory, you will not want to miss this moving musical celebration.  Join us in Asbury North’s Worship Center on Saturday, December 9 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday, December 10 at 10:00  AM (a combined service).
